Her occupation was noted as 'ploughman's wife' and she had been born in Haddington. Ellenor married Hugh CURRAN OR CAIRNS (DNA Link), son of Hugh CURRAN OR CAIRNS (DNA Linked) and Rebecca ADAMS (DNA Linked), on 4 June 1880 in Haddington, East Lothian, Scotland.1 2 (Hugh CURRAN OR CAIRNS (DNA Link) was born on 27 April 1858 in Westruther, Berwickshire, Scotland and died after 1940 in Ohio, USA 3.) Marriage Notes: The marriage took place after banns according to the forms of the Established Church of Scotland. The Reverend Nimmo Smith, minister at Haddington, conducted the ceremony. The witnesses were William Nisbet and Sarah Cairns. |
