Beatrice married Sir John HOME of Cowdenknowes, son of Sir James HOME of Cowdenknowes and Katherine HOME 'of Blackader', 29 October 1608(contract and antenuptial charter).1 (Sir John HOME of Cowdenknowes was born about 1565 and died before 1629 1.) Marriage Notes: "Beatrix. She with her sister Lilias, both ' virginis undefameit and of lauchful age to marie,' was offered as bride to Alexander, sixth Lord Home, in 1584, by their father, who was his curator, but he did not marry either of them. She was, with two other sisters, a Lady of the Bedchamber to Queen Anne of Denmark, and was married (contract dated 29 October 1608) to Sir John Home of Cowdenknowes, whom she survived, and was known as 'Lady Cousland.'
