Janet married Patrick RUTHVEN 3rd Lord Ruthven, then Lord Dirleton, son of William RUTHVEN 2nd Lord Ruthven and Janet HALIBURTON co-heiress, Baroness Haliburton of Dirleton, suo jure.¹ (Patrick RUTHVEN 3rd Lord Ruthven, then Lord Dirleton was born about 1516.)

"The Earl (of Angus, Archibald Douglas) had also two natural daughters, Elizabeth (legitimated 2 March 1526) and Janet, the latter of whom, according to Godscroft, married Patrick, Lord Ruthven."
