Susan was the Duke of Gordon's third daughter. She had eight children in her marriage. She scandalised society about 1812 by running off with her footman. ²

Susan married Colonel William MONTAGU 5th Duke of Manchester on 7 October 1793 in Edinburgh, Scotland.¹ (Colonel William MONTAGU 5th Duke of Manchester was born on 21 October 1771 and died on 18 March 1843 in Rome, Italy.)
