General Notes: "The Glasters of Lumgair, in the Mearns, by a marriage with Alice Pilmor, who was heiress of Glack, in Daviot parish, in 1381, came into possession of that church feoff in 1418, upon her death, and continued until 1492, when Andrew Elphinstone of Selmys possessed Glack, except a tenement sold to John Gordon of Lumgair, apparently the purchaser of most of the Glaster property. Andrew Elphnstone, in 1499, disponed Clack to his younger brother, Nicholas, whose descendants were lairds of Glack for 250 years. " |
