PARKHILL, Margaret Duncan ^{2 3}

   Cause of her death was congestion of the brain and gastric atrophy, both of 14 days' duration.

   Other names for Margaret were PARKHILL, Margaret, TWEEDLEY, Margaret and TWEEDLEY, Margaret Duncan.

  General Notes:

In her son John's birth certificate of 1855, Thomas Tweedley stated that his wife Margaret was aged 23 years and had beenn born at Crofthead in Neilston parish. Their son John was her second child, a girl, living, being the first.

Margaret's own death certificate of 1897 recorded her as aged 58 years and a widow. ⁵

Dr John MacKinley certified the cause of death.

Alex McLean, a neighbour, notified the registrar, Alex Watson, at Barrhead on 2 March 1897.

Margaret married Thomas Nicholson TWEEDLEY, son of John TWEEDLY and Mary NICHOLSON, on 21 June 1850 in Neilston, Renfrewshire, Scotland.¹ (Thomas Nicholson TWEEDLEY was born about 1831 in Ireland ^{5 6} and died before 28 February 1897.)

  Marriage Notes:

In his son John's birth certificate of 1855, Thomas Tweedley stated that he and his wife were married in Barrhead in 1851. ⁵
