In 1901 Sarah Barr, as she was recorded, was living at 124 Muir Street Hamilton with her little son William aged 2 years. She was a widow aged 25 years, and worked as a washerwoman. Her mother and grandmother, both widows, lived in the same house. ¹

Sarah married Joseph BARR in 1895 in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland. (Joseph BARR was born about 1870.)

One of the witnesses at the marriage of Joseph Barr and Sarah Quigley in 1895 in Hamilton was Mary Quigley. ³
