  General Notes:

The 1851 census for Hamilton recorded this family's home as 16 New Wynd. Sarah's age was recorded as 50 years.
Note: Since her son Francis was born in 1856, it is likely Sarah was much younger than this.

Her husband remarried in 1858, reportedly a 'widower' by then.

In her son John's marriage lines of 1869 her name was given as 'Sally Kelly' - probably misheard by the clerk. She was recorded as deceased then. 3


Sally married Constantine QUIGLEY, son of James QUIGLEY and Ann O'HARA, on 29 September 1844 in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (Constantine QUIGLEY was born possibly about 1805 in Ireland 4 5 and died after 3 April 1881 6.)
