"John (Cumming) is mentioned with his son Robert in the Baron Court Book of the Barony of Altyre - John Cummming of Logie is mentioned as one of the Bailies of Cumming of Altyre in 1691. John must have died between 1691 and 10 Jul 1692 as on the later date his son Robert appears as a witness at a baptism in Alves as 'of Logie', rather than 'younger of Logie'."
