"II. - John Grant.
Who succeeded to his father, as his brother left only female heirs. As John Grant of Rothiernurchus he witnessed an agreement between the Lairds of Grant and Mackintosh and Cameron of Lochiel, on 21st November and 10th December 1623. He married Margaret Dunbar, daughter of Mr. Thomas Dunbar, Dean of Moray. By her, who survived him, and married, secondly, William M'Intosh, he had two sons. He died before 1651."
