Marriage Notes: "(footnote) 3 Another daughter (of George Dunbar, 11th Earl), Janet, who is not named either in the safe-conduct or in the above writ, is said to have married Sir John Seton. It was not he but his son William who married a Janet, though the evidence for her being a Dunbar is not conclusive. A discharge, 3 March 1413-14, by George Dunbar, son and heir of the Earl, to Sir John Seton, for 300 Scots, tocher of his sister Jonet, is referred to in the Family of Seton, ii. ; Exch.
