Elizabeth married Sir Alexander DE LAWEDRE (LAUDER), son of Alan DE LAWEDRE (LAUDER) of that Ilk, 1st of Haltoun, Bailie of Lauder, Constable of Tantallon Castle and Elizabeth DE HALTOUN, 17 December 1408 (charter).¹ (Sir Alexander DE LAWEDRE (LAUDER) was born about 1375 and died before June 1434 ².)

  Marriage Notes:

"Sir Robert and George (de Lawedre)'s younger brother was Sir Alexander de Lawedre (d. before June 1434) who briefly succeeded George at Haltoun. Sir Alexander married Elizabeth, daughter of Sir John Forrester of Corstorphine, Knt., (refer: Douglas's Peerage, Edinburgh, 1813) leaving issue."

"In The Great Seal is a fee charter dated 17th December 1408 to Alexander Lauder, knight, [no other designation] and Elizabeth, daughter of John Forrester of Corstorfyne, knight, his spouse, (all then living) of the Lauder of Haltoun lands of Platt, Westhall and Northraw [Norton] in the feudal barony of Ratho, Edinburghshire. The leading witness was Gilbert, Bishop of Aberdeen, Chancellor of Scotland, with another being Sir John Forrester of Corstorfyne.[¹The Great Seal of Scotland (1306-1424), signed at Dundee, no.915.]"
