"Alexander Bruce, 2nd of Bangour, succeeded his father and was served heir general to him on 15 March 1609. He had a precept of clare constat from the superior, Alexander, Lord Elphinstone, for infeftment in the 8 oxgangs of the lands of Hill of Airth as heir to his deceased father on 10 July 1609. He m. Margaret Congalton and had issue, 4b} Patrick Bruce, bap. at South Leith, on 10 March 1616.

4b} Agnes Bruce, bap. at South Leith, on 20 November 1614."
