"(305) Claud Hamilton of Barnes, Dumbarton, second son of Gavin Hamilton (No. 299), died September 1632. Will recorded 8th October 1632 (Glasgow). He had a charter from his father of the lands of Barnes 1st April 1575. He married Catherine Knox of Silvieland, Renfrew, and had :

(a) James (No. 306).

b) Robert (No. 307)."
