Brother of James Fullarton. Second son of of Robert udny of Auchterellon, he took the name of Fullarton when he succeeded his maternal grandfather in Dudwick in 1689. Married Mary, daughter of Sir David Falconer of Newton, and had two sons and three daughters."

"John (Udny), who, on March 1, 1689, was served heir of entail and provision to his grandfather, Colonel Fullerton, in the barony of Dudwick, Birness, &c. In 1712, he was served heir general of his father in Auchterellon, which he sold. He executed a deed of entail of Dudwick in 1729 ; married Mary, daughter of Sir David Falconer of Newton, Lord President of the Court of Session, sister of David, fifth Lord Falconer of Halkerton, and had issue :

I. John Fullerton of Dudwick, out in 1745 ; was especially exempted from the general amnesty, and it is said travelled the country disguised as a packman. He married Mary, daughter of Sir John Guthrie of King-Edward, Bart., d. s. p., 1 April, 1768."
