"Strathdon parish register, 1712: Septr - Arthur Anderson off Candacraige a son bapt Charles wit: Wm Allanach in Tamintaple & Alexr [Anderson]

8th Laird of Candacraig. Became Laird at the age of five after his father's death, and was Laird for sixty years. Erected monument in Strathdon Kirk in 1757 'to the memory of his predecessors, the Andersons of Candacraig, who have been interred here for the last seven generations.' "
