Grace married John GORDON 3rd Earl of Aboyne, Jacobite 1715, son of Charles GORDON 2nd Earl of Aboyne and Elizabeth LYON.¹ (John GORDON 3rd Earl of Aboyne, Jacobite 1715 was born about 1698 and died on 11 April 1732 ¹.)

  Marriage Notes:

"John (Gordon), third Earl of Aboyne, was served heir to his father 7 October 1702. He attempted to obtain brieves for serving himself tutor-at-law to George Cosmo, Duke of Gordon, and had decree against him in February 1730.

He married Grace, daughter of George Lockhart of Carnwath, by his wife Lady Euphemia Montgomerie : she married, secondly, James, Lord Doune, afterwards Earl of Moray, and died at Darnaway 17 November 1738. Earl John died 11 April 1732, leaving issue"

Grace next married James STEWART Lord Doune, 8th Earl of Moray, 'the bonnie Earl o' Moray', son of Francis STEWART 7th Earl of Moray and Jean ELPHINSTONE, in December 1734.² (James STEWART Lord Doune, 8th Earl of Moray, 'the bonnie Earl o' Moray' was born about 1708 ² and died 5(6) July 1767 in Donibristle, Fife, Scotland ².)

  Marriage Notes:

"VIII. James (Stewart), eighth Earl of Moray, was born about 1708, and was served heir to his father 2 April 1740. Not long after his succession to the Peerage he was created a Knight of the Order of the Thistle, 23 February 1741 ; and he sat in the House of Lords as a Representative Peer from 1741 till 1767. Under the Act of 1747 for abolishing heritable jurisdictions he obtained £3000 for the sheriffship of Moray and Elgin, and £1200 for the stewartry of Menteith, in all £4200, in full of his claim for £14,000. He died at Donibristle 5 or 6 July 1767. He married, first, December 1734, Grace, daughter of George Lockhart of Carnwath, and widow of John, third Earl of Aboyne. She died at Darnaway 17 November 1738."
