"George Dundas, 17th of Dundas is the son of Sir James Dundas, 16th of Dundas and Margaret Sandilands. He married, firstly, Margaret Boswell, daughter of David Boswell, 4th of Balmuto. He married, secondly, Catherine Oliphant, daughter of Laurence Oliphant, 3rd Lord Oliphant and Margaret Sandilands. He held the position of 17th Chief of the Name and Arms of Dundas from in 1553."
