Marriage Notes: "He (James Campbell) married, first, before 1517, Marion, daughter of Sir Walter Forrester of Torwood, and relict of Sir Henry Shaw of Cambusmore ; she died at Fordes, in Strathearn, 31 October 1527, and was buried in the parish church of Stirling, in the aisle of St. Andrew, at 7 P.M. on the last day of October 1527." James next married Janet GRAY, daughter of Andrew GRAY 2nd Lord Gray and Elizabeth(1) STEWART, before 28 September 1530.1 (Janet GRAY was born about 1485 and died in October 1539 3 4.) Marriage Notes: "He (James Campbell) married, secondly, before 28 September 1530, Janet, daughter of Andrew, second Lord Gray, and relict of John Charters of Cuthilgurdie, Alexander Keith, and Sir David Wemyss of that Ilk" James next married Isobel HAY after October 1539.1 (Isobel HAY was born about 1500.) Marriage Notes: " He (James Campbell) .... married, thirdly, Isobel Hay, relict of Alexander Robertson of Fascaly, who survived him, and was married, secondly, to John Forret of that Ilk, in Fifeshire." |
