"John, Laird of Allardice, was born circa 1595. He is mentioned, as John son of John, as early as 1607. A concession from John Allardice of Allardice and Helen Burnett his wife, to Robert Keith of Brodiestoun, was dated July 29, 1628, which proves that John succeeded his father before this date. John died November 2, 1631.
He married (sasine of the marriage contract dated September 3, 1617) Helen Burnett, daughter of Alexander Burnett of Leys (died 1619) and Katherine Gordon of Lesmoir. John and Helen had children"

Discharge by John Fullarton of Kinnaber and Thomas Allardice of Duninald to Lady Mary Graham, widow of Sir John Allardice of that ilk, and her son for all duties due for the subtack of the lands of Pitcairnie up to 1686 following on a tack, dated 24 October 1671, of those lands by Lady Helen Burnet, widow of John Allardice of that ilk, to the said John Fullarton and Thomas Allardice for all the days of her life, and a subtack dated 26 July 1672 by them to Sir John Allardyce of that ilk after whose decease the subtack was taken over by his spouse and son."
