"This George Barclay repeatedly visited his aunt at Tilwhilly, and married, 20th August, 1704 (Banchory-Ternan Registers), Anna, daughter of Thomas Reid in Eslie. second son of Rev. Robert Reid, of Biruess and Balnakettle, minister of Banchory-Ternan, descended from the old family of Reid of Pitfodels - her mother being Jean Burnett, daughter of Burnett of Campfield."
