Margaret's death certificate of 1880 recorded her as 83 years of age at death. She was a pauper and widow of James Forbes, Crofter. Her parents were deceased. William Farquharson, her nephew, of Toldaquill, Strathdon, was the informant of her death. ^{2 3}

Margaret married James FORBES Crofter, son of Hary FORBES of Torrancroy and Jean McHARDY.¹ (James FORBES Crofter was born about 1789 ³ and died in 1867 ³.)
