"Note 3 Charles Farquharson married to Margaret Forbes Charles Farquharson married to Margaret Forbes was at Tolduquhill when their fifth child Robert was baptised 28 July 1831 -Strathdon OPR. In the 1841 census Charles Farquharson agricultural labourer aged 45 plus and wife Margaret aged 45 plus were at East Aldhie with sons Robert 8 Alexander 6 John 4 and female Cecilia? aged 80. In 1851 Charles Farquharson agricultural labourer aged 60 was at Corrybreck with wife Margaret aged 59 and children Mary 24 and John 13. He died widower aged 82 at Nether Tolduquhill on 8 Aug 1873, father William Farquharson deceased, mother Cecil [sic] Forbes deceased, death reported by Robert Farquharson Edinglassie."
"Note 4 (with photograph) Prior to Robert in 1831, the children of Charles Farquharson and Margaret Forbes were not shown in the Strathdon OPR. However, the death of their son Peter Farquharson was registered in Aberdeen in 1869 aged 38 (death certificate found by Deb O'Reilly). His age was variously shown over the years: most reliably 11 in 1841 (in Glenmuick) and 22 in 1851 (in Alford). Mark Anich reports that he married Mary Cameron from Alford in 1865 and their son Archibald was born in 1866 ... "
