"Sir Andrew, as son and apparent heir of Robert Lundy of Balgony and his spouse Elizabeth Sibbald, received a charter under the great seal of the lands and barony of Balgonie on the 7th March 1483. The charter of these lands followed on the resignation of Sir Andrew's mother Elizabeth Sibbald. Sir Andrew was served as heir in his father's lands in 1501. This included the Barony of Mondynes in Kincardineshire

Sir Andrew was granted the office of Sheriff of Fife from 1497 to 1513, and in 1513 he was granted the office for another five years, but he died sometime before April 1518."

"Sir Andrew (Lundy) was twice married, firstly to Katherine Seton and secondly Janet Dishington. He had several children, at least four sons (James Lundie 3rd of Balgonie, Andrew Lundie 4th of Balgonie, Robert Lundie 5th of Balgonie, and Alexander Lundie) and one daughter Margaret Lundie. Margaret was married to David Ramsay of Colluthie. During the religious struggles she appears with her servant John Lundie accused of papistry."
