George married Issabel GORDON, daughter of Sir Adam GORDON of Park and Christian GORDON.¹ (Issabel GORDON was born about 1614.)

  Marriage Notes:

".... their Sister Issabel Gordon married John (see Note below) Innes of Coldcoats of whom is come the present Laird of Dunkintie."

Note:

Issabel's husband was George Innes, not John. A later John Innes of Leuchars settled the Leuchars property on the Innes family of Dunkinty.




"George (Innes), had a pair of colours in Lord Spynie's regiment, raised for the service of Gustavus Adolphus, c. 1626. He was afterwards (1653) a Lieutenant Colonel in the King's army, and was laird of Caldcotts. His descendants took their style from Dunkinty, and eventually succeeded to the estate of Leuchars."
