Jane was confirmed by Rev Dr Andrew Scott at St Mirin's Paisley on 10 October 1830.

A 'Jane Quigly', along with James Quigly, was sponsor at the baptism of Hugh Lynch, son of James Lynch and Elizabeth Walker on 11 May 1834 at St Mirin's Paisley. She may be this Jane Quigly.

Jane Quigley and her new husband Hugh Quigley were sponsors at the baptism of Jane's nephew:

The 1841 census for Barony parish Glasgow found Jean Quigley living with her parents, two sisters and a brother. Jean was aged in the 25-30 years age group. Like her mother she had been born in Scotland, but not Lanarkshire. No occupation was noted for her. 1

1. sponsor at baptism, 11 May 1834, St Mirin's RC Chapel, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland. Jane, along with James Quigly, was sponsor at the baptism of Hugh Lynch, son of James Lynch and Elizabeth Walker.


Jane married Hugh QUIGLY, son of John QUIGLEY and Unknown, on 14 October 1839 in St Mirin's RC Chapel, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland. (Hugh QUIGLY was born about 1811 in Ireland 3 and died in February 1842 in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland 4.)
