Robert married Elizabeth MURE of Rowallan, daughter of Sir Adam MURE 1st Baron of Rowallan and Janet MURE heiress of Pokellie, on 22 November 1347. (Elizabeth MURE of Rowallan was born about 1320 and died before May 1355.)

  Marriage Notes:

The couple married in 1336, but this was considered an uncanonical marriage by the Church. They later married by Papal dispensation, which legitimised their previously born children.

Robert next married Eupheme DE ROSS Countess of Moray, daughter of Hugh Earl of Ross and Margaret GRAHAM, on 2 May 1355 in By Papal Dispensation. (Eupheme DE ROSS Countess of Moray was born about 1329 2 3 and died in 1386 2.)

Robert had a relationship with Marion CARDNEY, daughter of John CARDNEY of that Ilk and Unknown. (Marion CARDNEY was born about 1352 4.)
