Alexander married Catherine QUIGLEY, daughter of David QUIGLEY and Fanny WATSON, on 4 June 1824 in Neilston, Renfrewshire, Scotland.1 (Catherine QUIGLEY was born about 1800 and died 12 September 1875 at 10.45 am in 5 Great Hamilton Street, Glasgow, Scotland 3 4.). The cause of her death was chronic bronchitis of long standing.
