The 1851 census for Liff and Benvie parish, Angus, recorded Peter Forbes, aged 59 years, living as head of a small family at 1 Taylors Lane. His wife was Helen Brodie. He had been born in Strathdon, Aberdeenshire, and worked as a Sheriff Criminal Officer. 1


Peter married Hellen BRODY, daughter of William BRODY and Janet GAULD. (Hellen BRODY was baptised on 8 June 1798 in Glenbucket Parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 2.)
