The 1851 census for Ayr recorded John Mackey and his wife Helen living with their two sons, Helen's father, and two of Helen's nieces, in the High Street, (back house?). Helen Mackey was aged 29 years and had been born in Newton on Ayr.

Helen married John MACKEY. (John MACKEY was born about 1824 in Ireland.)
