  General Notes:

John Conlon, his wife and 4 children were recorded by the 1881 census for the parish of Bothwell, Lanarkshire. The lived in Main Street. John Conlon was a coal miner aged 36 years. He had been born in County Cavan, Ireland.
NOTE:
The ages given for John and his wife in the census entry do not seem to be accurate. They married in 1853 which would mean they were about 8 years and 10 years old respectively.

John married Margaret NUGENT on 26 November 1853 in St Mary's RC Chapel, Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (Margaret NUGENT was born 1835 or earlier in County Longford, Ireland 2 and died 1881 or later 2.)

'26 November 1853
John Conlan and Margaret Nugent both of Cleland after due proclamation were married by me in the presence of Patrick Kenny (Karny?) and Mary O'Brien
