  General Notes:

Patrick and Jane Vallely were recorded by the 1861 census living with three children at 101 New Wynd Glasgow. A visitor, Mary Dougherty, also lived there. Patrick Vallely was 29 years old, his wife Jane Vallely was 27 years. Their children were Patrick Vallely aged 5 years, Mary Vallely aged 3 years and Catherine Vallely aged 3 Weeks. Patrick was a labourer, and born in Ireland as was Jane, who was a sewer. Young Patrick had been born in Cambusnethan, Lanarkshire, and the two younger children were born in Glasgow. 3


Patrick married Jane FAGAN on 26 September 1852 in Glasgow, Scotland.1 (Jane FAGAN was born about 1834 in Ireland.)


  Marriage Notes:

In the OPR entry for this couple's marriage the groom, Patrick Vallely, was recorded as a hawker by occupation. 5
