Mary Vallely also made her X mark. She was 18 years old, unmarried and a millworker. Her address was given as 4 Low Green Street, Glasgow.

The wedding was a Roman Catholic one celebrated by John Gray RCC. The witnesses were Alexander Gilfillan and James Connolly.

The marriage was registered on 13 October 1859, John Sloan registrar. 1
