  General Notes:

In the 1881 census W. H. Beadwell was recorded living at 35 Renfrew Street, Glasgow, as a lodger in the household of John Mackay. The dwelling had four windowed rooms. William was a widower. Lodging there too was his brother in law, John Skeoch, also a widower, and 28 years old like William. 1


William married Ellen QUIGLEY, daughter of John QUIGLEY and Margaret McGARVEY, on 13 June 1878 in St Luke's Episcopal Church, Glasgow, Scotland.1 (Ellen QUIGLEY was born about 1856 in Ireland 1 and died before 3 April 1881 1.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage took place after banns according to the forms of the Episcopal Church. William Elvin Bradshaw, incumbent, married the couple. The witnesses were John Raphael and Maggie Ramage.

William Henry Beadwell was aged 26 years and worked as a journeyman housepainter. His address was 18 Hutcheson Square, Glasgow. His parents were deceased.

Ellen Quigley, of 35 Caneston Street, Glasgow, was aged 22 years. Her father was deceased.

The marriage was registered on 17 June 1878 at Glasgow. 1
