George Gordon, aged in the 40-44 years range, was a recorded by the 1841 census living at Netherlee Farm, Cathcart, Renfrewshire with his wife Elizabeth and their seven children, as well as some farm workers.

In 1851 George Gordon was a contractor employing 50 men, living with his wife and five children at Cathcart Road in Gorbals parish Lanarkshire. 2 3


George married Elizabeth YOUNG on 8 December 1822 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (Elizabeth YOUNG was born about 1799 in Eaglesham, Renfrewshire, Scotland 2.)
