  General Notes:

When John Goldie alias John Drumgoun married in 1867 his marriage certificate recorded his father as "John Drumgoun Corn Miller (deceased)".

James Gouldie was a labourer according to the marriage certificate of his son Patrick in 1875. He was deceased by then. The same occupation was noted for him in the 1888 poor law relief application of John Goldie, another son. 1 3 4

DRUMGOWN AND GOULDIE OR GOLDIE

In the Roots Ireland website of the Irish Family History Foundation, the name Gouldie brings up as variation of spelling Drumgoon and Drumgool. This surname is found in County Cavan. 5


James married Ann CURTIS. (Ann CURTIS was born about 1815 and died between 3 September 1875 and 15 May 1904 2 3.)
