  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The priest was Patrick Hanly, RC clergyman at Springburn. The witnesses were Oliver Millin and William McDonnel.

John Vallely was a 28 year old labourer, resident in Springburn and unmarried.

Catherine Friel, who made her X mark, was unmarried and also of Springburn. She was aged 19 years and was a mill worker.

The marriage was registered on 7 November 1861 at Springburn, Walter McKillop the signing registrar.
