The marriage was celebrated according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. John B. Vasall RCC was the celebrant. The witnesses were Thomas McSherry and Mary Skoman, both making their X mark.

Henry Vallely was a railway plate layer by occupation. His residence was 139 Saltmarket. He was aged 20 years and a bachelor. He made his X mark.

Catherine McGuire was 18 years old and lived at 29 Bridgegate. She was unmarried and was a hair factory worker. Her parents were deceased.

The marriage was registered on 11 January 1868 at Glasgow, the registrar being Jas. M. Thomson.
