In the marriage certificate of his son James in 1855, Hugh was recorded as a shoemaker and was alive then.

Hugh was deceased in 1886 when his son James died. He was recorded then as a 'shoemaker journeyman'.


Hugh married Mary McCARDLE.1 (Mary McCARDLE was born in 1807 in Ireland 1 and died on 23 August 1881 in Glasgow, Scotland 1.)
