   Cause of his death was heart disease of a sudden nature.1

  General Notes:

The 1851 census recorded John Quigley as 40 years old. He worked as a quay labourer.

John was a labourer, according to the marriage certificate of his son William in 1856.

The 1861 census recorded John Quigley as 53 years old and born in Ireland. He worked as a labourer.

When John died in 1862 his death certificate ecorded him as a 'quay labourer married to Margaret Porter'. His recorded age at death was 43 years. 1 3

  Medical Notes:

John had no medical attendant.

William Quigley, John's son who was present where his father's death occurred, gave notice of John's death before Robert Campbell, registrar, at Greenock on 3 June 1862 and made his X mark. 1


John married Margaret PORTER. (Margaret PORTER was born about 1810 in Ireland 2.)
