Mary Ann Kelly, a married woman, was recorded in her widowed mother's household at Whytes Square in Paisley by the 1881 census. She was a cotton weaver aged 23 years and had been born in Nitshill. Her two children, Catherine Kelly aged 2 years, born Nitshill, and Patrick Kelly aged 6 months, born Nitshill, lived there too. 2
