In the 1841 census for Dunkeld parish in Perthshire, Catharine Hardie was living in the High Street with her husband and four small children, aged 6 years down to 5 months. Her age was noted as 27 years and her birthplace was Perthshire.


Cathrine married John HARDIE, son of Peter HARDIE of Dunkeld, Weaver and Musician and May HUTTON, on 15 November 1832 in Dowally Parish, Perthshire, Scotland. (John HARDIE was born about 1809 in Perthshire, Scotland and died after 25 November 1864.)
