  Marriage Notes:

The marriage of James and Margaret was conducted by P. L. Thomson, the minister at Overtown, near Wishaw, according to the forms of the established Church of Scotland. The witnesses were John K. Tweedlie and Sarah Clark.

The groom, James, was an unmarried man of 22 years, a coal miner living at 1 Burnhall Row, Waterloo. His father, John Tweedlie, was also a coal miner.

Margaret, the bride, was unmarried too. She was aged 22 years, and worked as a domestic servant. Her address was McQueen's Land Overtown. Her father James, a greengrocer, was deceased.
