In Latheron parish, Caithness, there were one hundred and thrity seven marriages of people called Gun or Gunn between 1820 and 1856. 1


Janet married Charles McGONAGALL, son of Charles McGONAGALL and Margaret MAXWELL, on 9 February 1844 in Latheron, Caithness, Scotland.1 (Charles McGONAGALL was born about 1822 1 and died 12 October 1903 at 10.15 pm in Combination Poorhouse, Braehungie, Latheron, Caithness, Scotland 2.). The cause of his death was heart disease over years.
