"(100) In memory of John Simpson, late farmer of Mill of Rathven and Snobhead, who died 2nd Jany. 1815, aged 46 years - much regrated by Margaret Wilson, his affectionate spouse, and numerous family."

John married Margaret WILSON on 16 May 1796 in Rathven parish, Banffshire, Scotland.¹ (Margaret WILSON was born about 1775.)
