Henry Donaldson, father, an engineer, and who had been present where his son was born, gave notice of the birth before the registrar at Renfrew on 6 June 1905.

Henry Donaldson, son of the deceased Henry Donaldson senior, of 23 Ballantine Drive, Ayr, gave notice of his father's death before the registrar at Helensburgh on 1 October 1974, the anniversary of his father, Henry Donaldson senior's birth when, had he lived, he would have become 98 years old.
