Frances Gillocher [sic] and his wife, Mary, were recorded by the 1851 census for Largs, Ayrshire, living with Mary's parents at Allan's Land, Gateside Street. Frances was recorded as aged 24 years and had been born in Ireland. He was a labourer by occupation. ²

Francis married Mary McGUNIGLE, daughter of Duncan McGONNIGAL and Mary BROWN, on 21 February 1851 in Largs, Ayrshire, Scotland.¹ (Mary McGUNIGLE was born in 1830 in Ireland ².)
