Jane Quigley was living with her parents 'in Lockerby' at the time of her baptism. Her sponsors were John Haggins and Sarah Millholland. The priest who baptised her was Mr James Carruthers.

Jane was the first child in the family to be named Jane, 'Jean' being the Scottish equivalent of the more anglicised Jane. 1 2
