Margaret married Robert INNES of Rothmackenzie, son of Sir James INNES 12th of that Ilk, 'James with the beard' and Janet GORDON.¹ (Robert INNES of Rothmackenzie was born about 1468 and died about 1535.)

Robert Innes, second son of James Innes of that Ilk. He was usually designed of Rothmackenzie ; he married a daughter of William Meldrum of Fyvie, by whom he had two sons :
1. James.
2. Alexander, ancestor of the Inneses of Coitts."
