"Sir William Douglas married, first, Elizabeth, daughter of Alexander, High Steward of Scotland. She died some time before 1289, and he married, secondly, Eleanor de Lovain, or Ferrers, who survived him. In October 1303 King Edward I. granted her permission to marry John de Wysham, a 'vallet' of the King's, but she was apparently still a widow in June 1305."
